Getting just the track you want on your iPod is sometimes fiddly at the best of times. Annie's got pretty good with her arms in the past few years, but the fine control you need to get just the right pressure on the scroll wheel is really hard...
And while having to concentrate to keep your balance too.
I've noticed in the past a lot of touch screens and laptop touch pads that use capacitive touch-sensing rather than pressure don't work if you use pens or metal items, since they rely on skin capacitance.
I've always wondered what a bilat. hook wearer would do in such instances.
I don't own an iPod so couldn't check, but the scroll wheel is made by the same Synaptics that did the touch pad on my laptop, and I just checked and it wouldn't work with metal.
Annie may be in even more trouble than she originally thought. Or may have the original model that had a wheel that really did go round.
Oops! I think you might be right! Never occurred to me when I had the original idea.
I think she could use the 'click' function but not the scroll. Making the thing pretty useless really. Unless she could get skin contact somehow - nose? But because her arms are off so high, it would be very difficult, if not impossible, for her to raise the iPod up to her face, I think.
Damn! Goes off to research mp3 players with non-capacitance touch-sensing!
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

On the more obvious note though, her musical tastes are very good.
(And my iPod responds to a pen for on and off, and for jumping forward and back, but not for scrolling the wheel.)

But then, who *doesn't* like Emily Strange? Or would she hate people liking her...?
She just had to go on eBay to get the right one
